I did a little experiment the other day while driving from Portobello to North Berwick - and no one was hurt doing it 😉. As you know, I keep complaining about not being able to stop on the roadsides around here to take photos of all the beautiful scenery, so I came up with another idea.
I use my iPhone for navigating around to all the beautiful places I go to teach and explore, and it is in a holder on the dash of my car. Since I know quite a few routes by heart now, here's what I decided to do - I put the phone on camera mode, and snapped away as I drove. I had no idea what I was going to get, since I was not looking at the phone at all - it was just like turning the knob on the radio - but some of them didn't turn out too badly. It will give you a little bit of an idea of what some of the roadways themselves look like if you are one of my readers back in the States. It's obviously not the same as getting all the beautiful scenery off to the sides of the roads, but hey, it's the best I can do for now. Enjoy the ride!
