Remember how much it was raining the last two days? What a difference a day makes! It was sunshiney (if that's not a word, I just made it up) and warm and a different kind of gorgeous today than yesterday. Did the early morning walk on the beach with Dory, then we had a lot of errands to do. And, guess what?! Har got a job! He wants to work part time, and will be waiting tables at The Mallard Hotel in Gullane. If you remember, this is owned by the family of our landlady (who also runs the Muirfield Riding Therapy group - busy lady) and we had a great meal there just recently. He will be working a couple of days a week.
We also opened up a Costco account which will come in handy now and then. The Costco here in Scotland is pretty much the same as the one in the states, but I'm bummed they don't carry the dog food that I've fed Dory all her life. She is, however, doing great on the one I do have her on now, so not to worry.
At about 5:00 we all walked down to the beach because it was so beautiful out, and WoW! Everyone else had the same idea! There were people and dogs everywhere - and a good time was being had by all. We got some coffee drinks from The Beach House and sat outside in the sun. True to form, it didn't take Dory very long to become quite the attraction, with young ladies from Italy wanting their photos taken with her, and little girls from here just falling in love with her. I can't tell you, again, how proud I am of how Dory is handling herself in these very new and strange surroundings - what a champ!
